Sura 28 Al-Qasas (The Stories), ayah 50
-
فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا لَكَ فَاعْلَمْ أَنَّمَا يَتَّبِعُونَ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ ۚ وَمَنْ أَضَلُّ مِمَّنِ اتَّبَعَ هَوَاهُ بِغَيْرِ هُدًى مِنَ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Translation by words
- فَإِن
- But if
- لَّمْ
- not
- يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟
- they respond
- لَكَ
- to you,
- فَٱعْلَمْ
- then know
- أَنَّمَا
- that only
- يَتَّبِعُونَ
- they follow
- أَهْوَآءَهُمْ
- their desires.
- وَمَنْ
- And who
- أَضَلُّ
- (is) more astray
- مِمَّنِ
- than (one) who
- ٱتَّبَعَ
- follows
- هَوَىٰهُ
- his own desire
- بِغَيْرِ
- without
- هُدًى
- guidance
- مِّنَ
- from
- ٱللَّهِ
- Allah?
- إِنَّ
- Indeed,
- ٱللَّهَ
- Allah
- لَا
- (does) not
- يَهْدِى
- guide
- ٱلْقَوْمَ
- the people -
- ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
- the wrongdoers.
But if they do not respond to you - then know that they only follow their (own) desires. And who is more astray than one who follows his desire without guidance from Allah? Indeed, Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.
28:50
