Sura 63 Al-Munafiqun (The Hypocrites), ayah 4
-
وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ تُعْجِبُكَ أَجْسَامُهُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ يَقُولُوا تَسْمَعْ لِقَوْلِهِمْ ۖ كَأَنَّهُمْ خُشُبٌ مُسَنَّدَةٌ ۖ يَحْسَبُونَ كُلَّ صَيْحَةٍ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ هُمُ الْعَدُوُّ فَاحْذَرْهُمْ ۚ قَاتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ ۖ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ
Translation by words
- وَإِذَا
- And when
- رَأَيْتَهُمْ
- you see them
- تُعْجِبُكَ
- pleases you
- أَجْسَامُهُمْ
- their bodies,
- وَإِن
- and if
- يَقُولُوا۟
- they speak,
- تَسْمَعْ
- you listen
- لِقَوْلِهِمْ
- to their speech,
- كَأَنَّهُمْ
- as if they (were)
- خُشُبٌ
- pieces of wood
- مُّسَنَّدَةٌ
- propped up.
- يَحْسَبُونَ
- They think
- كُلَّ
- every
- صَيْحَةٍ
- shout
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- (is) against them.
- هُمُ
- They
- ٱلْعَدُوُّ
- (are) the enemy,
- فَٱحْذَرْهُمْ
- so beware of them.
- قَٰتَلَهُمُ
- May destroy them
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah!
- أَنَّىٰ
- How
- يُؤْفَكُونَ
- are they deluded?
And when you see them, their forms please you, and if they speak, you listen to their speech. (They are) as if they were pieces of wood propped up - they think that every shout is against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. May Allah destroy them; how are they deluded?
63:4
Translation: Saheeh International
