Sura 96 Al-'Alaq (The Clot), ayah 9 – 19

1. أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يَنْهَىٰ

   Have you seen the one who forbids

   96:9

2. عَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّىٰ

   A servant when he prays?

   96:10

3. أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ كَانَ عَلَى الْهُدَىٰ

   Have you seen if he is upon guidance

   96:11

4. أَوْ أَمَرَ بِالتَّقْوَىٰ

   Or enjoins righteousness?

   96:12

5. أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ

   Have you seen if he denies and turns away -

   96:13

6. أَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَرَىٰ

   Does he not know that Allah sees?

   96:14

7. كَلَّا لَئِنْ لَمْ يَنْتَهِ لَنَسْفَعًا بِالنَّاصِيَةِ

   No! If he does not desist, We will surely drag him by the forelock -

   96:15

8. نَاصِيَةٍ كَاذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ

   A lying, sinning forelock.

   96:16

9. فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُ

   Then let him call his associates;

   96:17

10. سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِيَةَ

    We will call the angels of Hell.

    96:18

11. كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ وَاسْجُدْ وَاقْتَرِبْ ۩

    No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near (to Allah).

    96:19
