Sura 10 Yunus (Jonas), ayah 83
-
فَمَا آمَنَ لِمُوسَىٰ إِلَّا ذُرِّيَّةٌ مِنْ قَوْمِهِ عَلَىٰ خَوْفٍ مِنْ فِرْعَوْنَ وَمَلَئِهِمْ أَنْ يَفْتِنَهُمْ ۚ وَإِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ لَعَالٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَإِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
Translation by words
- فَمَآ
- But none
- ءَامَنَ
- believed
- لِمُوسَىٰٓ
- Musa
- إِلَّا
- except
- ذُرِّيَّةٌ
- (the) offspring
- مِّن
- among
- قَوْمِهِۦ
- his people
- عَلَىٰ
- for
- خَوْفٍ
- fear
- مِّن
- of
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- Firaun
- وَمَلَإِي۟هِمْ
- and their chiefs,
- أَن
- lest
- يَفْتِنَهُمْ
- they persecute them.
- وَإِنَّ
- And indeed,
- فِرْعَوْنَ
- Firaun
- لَعَالٍ
- (was) a tyrant
- فِى
- in
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth,
- وَإِنَّهُۥ
- and indeed, he
- لَمِنَ
- (was) of
- ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
- the ones who commit excesses.
But no one believed Moses, except (some) youths among his people, for fear of Pharaoh and his establishment that they would persecute them. And indeed, Pharaoh was haughty within the land, and indeed, he was of the transgressors
