Sura 13 Ar-Ra'd (The Thunder), ayah 40

  1. وَإِنْ مَا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ الَّذِي نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِنَّمَا عَلَيْكَ الْبَلَاغُ وَعَلَيْنَا الْحِسَابُ

    Translation by words

    وَإِن
    And whether
    مَّا
    (what)
    نُرِيَنَّكَ
    We show you
    بَعْضَ
    a part
    ٱلَّذِى
    (of) what
    نَعِدُهُمْ
    We have promised them
    أَوْ
    or
    نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ
    We cause you to die,
    فَإِنَّمَا
    so only
    عَلَيْكَ
    on you
    ٱلْبَلَٰغُ
    (is) the conveyance,
    وَعَلَيْنَا
    and on Us
    ٱلْحِسَابُ
    (is) the reckoning.

    And whether We show you part of what We promise them or take you in death, upon you is only the (duty of) notification, and upon Us is the account.
