Sura 13 Ar-Ra'd (The Thunder), ayah 5

  1. وَإِنْ تَعْجَبْ فَعَجَبٌ قَوْلُهُمْ أَإِذَا كُنَّا تُرَابًا أَإِنَّا لَفِي خَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ ۗ أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ الْأَغْلَالُ فِي أَعْنَاقِهِمْ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ

    Translation by words

    وَإِن
    And if
    تَعْجَبْ
    you (are) astonished,
    فَعَجَبٌ
    then astonishing
    قَوْلُهُمْ
    (is) their saying,
    أَءِذَا
    "When
    كُنَّا
    we are
    تُرَٰبًا
    dust,
    أَءِنَّا
    will we
    لَفِى
    (be) indeed, in
    خَلْقٍ
    a creation
    جَدِيدٍ
    new?"
    أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
    Those
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    (are) the ones who
    كَفَرُوا۟
    disbelieved
    بِرَبِّهِمْ
    in their Lord,
    وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
    and those
    ٱلْأَغْلَٰلُ
    the iron chains
    فِىٓ
    (will be) in
    أَعْنَاقِهِمْ
    their necks,
    وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
    those
    أَصْحَٰبُ
    (are the) companions
    ٱلنَّارِ
    (of) the Fire,
    هُمْ
    they
    فِيهَا
    in it
    خَٰلِدُونَ
    (will) abide forever.

    And if you are astonished, (O Muhammad) - then astonishing is their saying, "When we are dust, will we indeed be (brought) into a new creation?" Those are the ones who have disbelieved in their Lord, and those will have shackles upon their necks, and those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.
