Sura 14 Ibrahim, ayah 7

وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ ۖ وَلَئِنْ كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِي لَشَدِيدٌ
Translation by words
- وَإِذْ
- And when
- تَأَذَّنَ
- proclaimed
- رَبُّكُمْ
- your Lord,
- لَئِن
- "If
- شَكَرْتُمْ
- you are thankful,
- لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ
- surely I will increase you;
- وَلَئِن
- but if
- كَفَرْتُمْ
- you are ungrateful
- إِنَّ
- indeed,
- عَذَابِى
- My punishment
- لَشَدِيدٌ
- (is) surely severe."
And (remember) when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you (in favor); but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.' "
