Sura 15 Al-Hijr, ayah 88
-
لَا تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ إِلَىٰ مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهِ أَزْوَاجًا مِنْهُمْ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَاخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Translation by words
- لَا
- (Do) not
- تَمُدَّنَّ
- extend
- عَيْنَيْكَ
- your eyes
- إِلَىٰ
- towards
- مَا
- what
- مَتَّعْنَا
- We have bestowed
- بِهِۦٓ
- with it
- أَزْوَٰجًا
- (to) categories
- مِّنْهُمْ
- of them
- وَلَا
- and (do) not
- تَحْزَنْ
- grieve
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- over them.
- وَٱخْفِضْ
- And lower
- جَنَاحَكَ
- your wing
- لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- to the believers.
Do not extend your eyes toward that by which We have given enjoyment to (certain) categories of the disbelievers, and do not grieve over them. And lower your wing to the believers
