Sura 16 Al-Nahl (The Bee), ayah 93
-
وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلَٰكِنْ يُضِلُّ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَهْدِي مَنْ يَشَاءُ ۚ وَلَتُسْأَلُنَّ عَمَّا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ
Translation by words
- وَلَوْ
- And if
- شَآءَ
- Allah (had) willed
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah (had) willed
- لَجَعَلَكُمْ
- surely He (could) have made you
- أُمَّةً
- a nation
- وَٰحِدَةً
- one,
- وَلَٰكِن
- but
- يُضِلُّ
- He lets go astray
- مَن
- whom
- يَشَآءُ
- He wills
- وَيَهْدِى
- and guides
- مَن
- whom
- يَشَآءُ
- He wills.
- وَلَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ
- And surely you will be questioned
- عَمَّا
- about what
- كُنتُمْ
- you used (to)
- تَعْمَلُونَ
- do.
And if Allah had willed, He could have made you (of) one religion, but He causes to stray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And you will surely be questioned about what you used to do.
16:93
