Sura 17 Al-Isra (The Night Journey), ayah 47
-
نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَسْتَمِعُونَ بِهِ إِذْ يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِذْ هُمْ نَجْوَىٰ إِذْ يَقُولُ الظَّالِمُونَ إِنْ تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا رَجُلًا مَسْحُورًا
Translation by words
- نَّحْنُ
- We
- أَعْلَمُ
- know best
- بِمَا
- [of] what
- يَسْتَمِعُونَ
- they listen
- بِهِۦٓ
- to [it]
- إِذْ
- when
- يَسْتَمِعُونَ
- they listen
- إِلَيْكَ
- to you,
- وَإِذْ
- and when
- هُمْ
- they
- نَجْوَىٰٓ
- (are) in private conversation,
- إِذْ
- when
- يَقُولُ
- say
- ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ
- the wrongdoers,
- إِن
- "Not
- تَتَّبِعُونَ
- you follow
- إِلَّا
- but
- رَجُلًا
- a man
- مَّسْحُورًا
- bewitched."
We are most knowing of how they listen to it when they listen to you and (of) when they are in private conversation, when the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic."
