Sura 17 Al-Isra (The Night Journey), ayah 85

  1. وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الرُّوحِ ۖ قُلِ الرُّوحُ مِنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّي وَمَا أُوتِيتُمْ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا

    Translation by words

    وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ
    And they ask you
    عَنِ
    concerning
    ٱلرُّوحِ
    the soul.
    قُلِ
    Say,
    ٱلرُّوحُ
    "The soul
    مِنْ
    (is) of
    أَمْرِ
    (the) affair
    رَبِّى
    (of) my Lord.
    وَمَآ
    And not
    أُوتِيتُم
    you have been given
    مِّنَ
    of
    ٱلْعِلْمِ
    the knowledge
    إِلَّا
    except
    قَلِيلًا
    a little."

    And they ask you, (O Muhammad), about the soul. Say, "The soul is of the affair of my Lord. And mankind have not been given of knowledge except a little."
