Sura 23 Al-Mu'minun (The Believers), ayah 68

  1. أَفَلَمْ يَدَّبَّرُوا الْقَوْلَ أَمْ جَاءَهُمْ مَا لَمْ يَأْتِ آبَاءَهُمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ

    Translation by words

    أَفَلَمْ
    Then, do not
    يَدَّبَّرُوا۟
    they ponder
    ٱلْقَوْلَ
    the Word
    أَمْ
    or
    جَآءَهُم
    has come to them
    مَّا
    what
    لَمْ
    not
    يَأْتِ
    (had) come
    ءَابَآءَهُمُ
    (to) their forefathers?
    ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ
    (to) their forefathers?

    Then have they not reflected over the Qur'an, or has there come to them that which had not come to their forefathers?

    23:68
