Sura 24 An-Nur (The Light), ayah 4

  1. وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ فَاجْلِدُوهُمْ ثَمَانِينَ جَلْدَةً وَلَا تَقْبَلُوا لَهُمْ شَهَادَةً أَبَدًا ۚ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ

    Translation by words

    وَٱلَّذِينَ
    And those who
    يَرْمُونَ
    accuse
    ٱلْمُحْصَنَٰتِ
    the chaste women,
    ثُمَّ
    then
    لَمْ
    not
    يَأْتُوا۟
    they bring
    بِأَرْبَعَةِ
    four
    شُهَدَآءَ
    witnesses,
    فَٱجْلِدُوهُمْ
    then flog them
    ثَمَٰنِينَ
    (with) eighty
    جَلْدَةً
    lashe(s)
    وَلَا
    and (do) not
    تَقْبَلُوا۟
    accept
    لَهُمْ
    their
    شَهَٰدَةً
    testimony
    أَبَدًا
    ever.
    وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
    And those,
    هُمُ
    they
    ٱلْفَٰسِقُونَ
    (are) the defiantly disobedient,

    And those who accuse chaste women and then do not produce four witnesses - lash them with eighty lashes and do not accept from them testimony ever after. And those are the defiantly disobedient,
