Sura 25 Al-Furqan (The Criterion), ayah 55

  1. وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ ۗ وَكَانَ الْكَافِرُ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِ ظَهِيرًا

    Translation by words

    وَيَعْبُدُونَ
    But they worship
    مِن
    besides Allah
    دُونِ
    besides Allah
    ٱللَّهِ
    besides Allah
    مَا
    what
    لَا
    not profits them
    يَنفَعُهُمْ
    not profits them
    وَلَا
    and not
    يَضُرُّهُمْ
    harms them,
    وَكَانَ
    and is
    ٱلْكَافِرُ
    the disbeliever
    عَلَىٰ
    against
    رَبِّهِۦ
    his Lord
    ظَهِيرًا
    a helper.

    But they worship rather than Allah that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant (to Satan).
