Sura 26 Ash-Shu'ara' (The Poets), ayah 51

  1. إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَايَانَا أَنْ كُنَّا أَوَّلَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

    Translation by words

    إِنَّا
    Indeed, we
    نَطْمَعُ
    hope
    أَن
    that
    يَغْفِرَ
    will forgive
    لَنَا
    us
    رَبُّنَا
    our Lord
    خَطَٰيَٰنَآ
    our sins,
    أَن
    because
    كُنَّآ
    we are
    أَوَّلَ
    (the) first
    ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
    (of) the believers."

    Indeed, we aspire that our Lord will forgive us our sins because we were the first of the believers."
