Sura 27 An-Naml (The Ant), ayah 24

  1. وَجَدْتُهَا وَقَوْمَهَا يَسْجُدُونَ لِلشَّمْسِ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ وَزَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَصَدَّهُمْ عَنِ السَّبِيلِ فَهُمْ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ

    Translation by words

    وَجَدتُّهَا
    And I found her
    وَقَوْمَهَا
    and her people
    يَسْجُدُونَ
    prostrating
    لِلشَّمْسِ
    to the sun
    مِن
    instead of Allah,
    دُونِ
    instead of Allah,
    ٱللَّهِ
    instead of Allah,
    وَزَيَّنَ
    and has made fair-seeming
    لَهُمُ
    to them
    ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ
    the Shaitaan
    أَعْمَٰلَهُمْ
    their deeds,
    فَصَدَّهُمْ
    and averted them
    عَنِ
    from
    ٱلسَّبِيلِ
    the Way,
    فَهُمْ
    so they
    لَا
    (are) not
    يَهْتَدُونَ
    guided,

    I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah, and Satan has made their deeds pleasing to them and averted them from (His) way, so they are not guided,

    27:24
