Sura 28 Al-Qasas (The Stories), ayah 22

  1. وَلَمَّا تَوَجَّهَ تِلْقَاءَ مَدْيَنَ قَالَ عَسَىٰ رَبِّي أَنْ يَهْدِيَنِي سَوَاءَ السَّبِيلِ

    Translation by words

    وَلَمَّا
    And when
    تَوَجَّهَ
    he turned his face
    تِلْقَآءَ
    towards
    مَدْيَنَ
    Madyan,
    قَالَ
    he said,
    عَسَىٰ
    "Perhaps
    رَبِّىٓ
    my Lord
    أَن
    [that]
    يَهْدِيَنِى
    will guide me
    سَوَآءَ
    (to the) sound
    ٱلسَّبِيلِ
    way."

    And when he directed himself toward Madyan, he said, "Perhaps my Lord will guide me to the sound way."
