Sura 28 Al-Qasas (The Stories), ayah 46
-
وَمَا كُنْتَ بِجَانِبِ الطُّورِ إِذْ نَادَيْنَا وَلَٰكِنْ رَحْمَةً مِنْ رَبِّكَ لِتُنْذِرَ قَوْمًا مَا أَتَاهُمْ مِنْ نَذِيرٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
Translation by words
- وَمَا
- And not
- كُنتَ
- you were
- بِجَانِبِ
- at (the) side
- ٱلطُّورِ
- (of) the Tur
- إِذْ
- when
- نَادَيْنَا
- We called.
- وَلَٰكِن
- But
- رَّحْمَةً
- (as) a mercy
- مِّن
- from
- رَّبِّكَ
- your Lord
- لِتُنذِرَ
- so that you warn
- قَوْمًا
- a people
- مَّآ
- not
- أَتَىٰهُم
- (had) come to them
- مِّن
- any
- نَّذِيرٍ
- warner
- مِّن
- before you
- قَبْلِكَ
- before you
- لَعَلَّهُمْ
- so that they may
- يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
- remember.
And you were not at the side of the mount when We called (Moses) but (were sent) as a mercy from your Lord to warn a people to whom no warner had come before you that they might be reminded.
28:46
