Sura 28 Al-Qasas (The Stories), ayah 71

  1. قُلْ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنْ جَعَلَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْكُمُ اللَّيْلَ سَرْمَدًا إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ مَنْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَأْتِيكُمْ بِضِيَاءٍ ۖ أَفَلَا تَسْمَعُونَ

    Translation by words

    قُلْ
    Say,
    أَرَءَيْتُمْ
    "Have you seen
    إِن
    if
    جَعَلَ
    Allah made
    ٱللَّهُ
    Allah made
    عَلَيْكُمُ
    for you
    ٱلَّيْلَ
    the night
    سَرْمَدًا
    continuous
    إِلَىٰ
    till
    يَوْمِ
    (the) Day
    ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ
    (of) the Resurrection,
    مَنْ
    who
    إِلَٰهٌ
    (is the) god
    غَيْرُ
    besides
    ٱللَّهِ
    Allah
    يَأْتِيكُم
    who could bring you
    بِضِيَآءٍ
    light?
    أَفَلَا
    Then will not
    تَسْمَعُونَ
    you hear?"

    Say, "Have you considered: if Allah should make for you the night continuous until the Day of Resurrection, what deity other than Allah could bring you light? Then will you not hear?"
