Sura 2 Al-Baqarah (The Cow), ayah 146

  1. الَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَعْرِفُونَهُ كَمَا يَعْرِفُونَ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ ۖ وَإِنَّ فَرِيقًا مِنْهُمْ لَيَكْتُمُونَ الْحَقَّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ

    Translation by words

    ٱلَّذِينَ
    (To) those whom
    ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمُ
    We gave [them]
    ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
    the Book,
    يَعْرِفُونَهُۥ
    they recognize it
    كَمَا
    like
    يَعْرِفُونَ
    they recognize
    أَبْنَآءَهُمْ
    their sons.
    وَإِنَّ
    And indeed,
    فَرِيقًا
    a group
    مِّنْهُمْ
    of them
    لَيَكْتُمُونَ
    surely they conceal
    ٱلْحَقَّ
    the Truth
    وَهُمْ
    while they
    يَعْلَمُونَ
    know.

    Those to whom We gave the Scripture know him as they know their own sons. But indeed, a party of them conceal the truth while they know (it).
