Sura 2 Al-Baqarah (The Cow), ayah 158

  1. إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ ۖ فَمَنْ حَجَّ الْبَيْتَ أَوِ اعْتَمَرَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ أَنْ يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِمَا ۚ وَمَنْ تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ شَاكِرٌ عَلِيمٌ

    Translation by words

    إِنَّ
    Indeed,
    ٱلصَّفَا
    the Safa
    وَٱلْمَرْوَةَ
    and the Marwah
    مِن
    (are) from
    شَعَآئِرِ
    (the) symbols
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah.
    فَمَنْ
    So whoever
    حَجَّ
    performs Hajj
    ٱلْبَيْتَ
    (of) the House
    أَوِ
    or
    ٱعْتَمَرَ
    performs Umrah,
    فَلَا
    so no
    جُنَاحَ
    blame
    عَلَيْهِ
    on him
    أَن
    that
    يَطَّوَّفَ
    he walks
    بِهِمَا
    between [both of] them.
    وَمَن
    And whoever
    تَطَوَّعَ
    voluntarily does
    خَيْرًا
    good,
    فَإِنَّ
    then indeed,
    ٱللَّهَ
    Allah
    شَاكِرٌ
    (is) All-Appreciative,
    عَلِيمٌ
    All-Knowing.

Indeed, as-Safa and al-Marwah are among the symbols of Allah. So whoever makes Hajj to the House or performs 'umrah - there is no blame upon him for walking between them. And whoever volunteers good - then indeed, Allah is appreciative and Knowing.
