Sura 30 Ar-Rum (The Romans), ayah 10

  1. ثُمَّ كَانَ عَاقِبَةَ الَّذِينَ أَسَاءُوا السُّوأَىٰ أَنْ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ وَكَانُوا بِهَا يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ

    Translation by words

    ثُمَّ
    Then
    كَانَ
    was
    عَٰقِبَةَ
    (the) end
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    (of) those who
    أَسَٰٓـُٔوا۟
    did evil -
    ٱلسُّوٓأَىٰٓ
    the evil,
    أَن
    because
    كَذَّبُوا۟
    they denied
    بِـَٔايَٰتِ
    (the) Signs
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah
    وَكَانُوا۟
    and were
    بِهَا
    of them
    يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
    making mockery.

    Then the end of those who did evil was the worst (consequence) because they denied the signs of Allah and used to ridicule them.
