Sura 30 Ar-Rum (The Romans), ayah 52

1. فَإِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ الْمَوْتَىٰ وَلَا تُسْمِعُ الصُّمَّ الدُّعَاءَ إِذَا وَلَّوْا مُدْبِرِينَ

   Translation by words

   فَإِنَّكَ

   So indeed, you

   لَا

   (can) not

   تُسْمِعُ

   make the dead hear

   ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ

   make the dead hear

   وَلَا

   and not

   تُسْمِعُ

   make the deaf hear

   ٱلصُّمَّ

   make the deaf hear

   ٱلدُّعَآءَ

   the call

   إِذَا

   when

   وَلَّوْا۟

   they turn,

   مُدْبِرِينَ

   retreating.

   So indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they turn their backs, retreating.
