Sura 30 Ar-Rum (The Romans), ayah 56

  1. وَقَالَ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ وَالْإِيمَانَ لَقَدْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْبَعْثِ ۖ فَهَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْبَعْثِ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ

    Translation by words

    وَقَالَ
    But will say
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    those who
    أُوتُوا۟
    were given
    ٱلْعِلْمَ
    the knowledge
    وَٱلْإِيمَٰنَ
    and the faith,
    لَقَدْ
    "Verily
    لَبِثْتُمْ
    you remained
    فِى
    by
    كِتَٰبِ
    (the) Decree
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah
    إِلَىٰ
    until
    يَوْمِ
    (the) Day
    ٱلْبَعْثِ
    (of) Resurrection.
    فَهَٰذَا
    And this
    يَوْمُ
    (is the) Day
    ٱلْبَعْثِ
    (of) the Resurrection
    وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ
    but you
    كُنتُمْ
    were
    لَا
    not
    تَعْلَمُونَ
    knowing.

    But those who were given knowledge and faith will say, "You remained the extent of Allah 's decree until the Day of Resurrection, and this is the Day of Resurrection, but you did not used to know."
