Sura 38 Sad (The letter Saad), ayah 86

1. قُلْ مَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُتَكَلِّفِينَ

   Translation by words

   قُلْ

   Say,

   مَآ

   "Not

   أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ

   I ask of you

   عَلَيْهِ

   for it

   مِنْ

   any

   أَجْرٍ

   payment,

   وَمَآ

   and not

   أَنَا۠

   I am

   مِنَ

   of

   ٱلْمُتَكَلِّفِينَ

   the ones who pretend.

   Say, (O Muhammad), "I do not ask you for the Qur'an any payment, and I am not of the pretentious

   38:86
