Sura 39 Az-Zumar (The Troops), ayah 43

  1. أَمِ اتَّخَذُوا مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ شُفَعَاءَ ۚ قُلْ أَوَلَوْ كَانُوا لَا يَمْلِكُونَ شَيْئًا وَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ

    Translation by words

    أَمِ
    Or
    ٱتَّخَذُوا۟
    have they taken
    مِن
    besides
    دُونِ
    besides
    ٱللَّهِ
    Allah
    شُفَعَآءَ
    intercessors?
    قُلْ
    Say,
    أَوَلَوْ
    "Even though
    كَانُوا۟
    they were
    لَا
    not
    يَمْلِكُونَ
    possessing
    شَيْـًٔا
    anything,
    وَلَا
    and not
    يَعْقِلُونَ
    they understand?"

    Or have they taken other than Allah as intercessors? Say, "Even though they do not possess (power over) anything, nor do they reason?"
