Sura 39 Az-Zumar (The Troops), ayah 65

  1. وَلَقَدْ أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِلَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ لَئِنْ أَشْرَكْتَ لَيَحْبَطَنَّ عَمَلُكَ وَلَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

    Translation by words

    وَلَقَدْ
    And verily,
    أُوحِىَ
    it has been revealed
    إِلَيْكَ
    to you
    وَإِلَى
    and to
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    those who
    مِن
    (were) before you,
    قَبْلِكَ
    (were) before you,
    لَئِنْ
    if
    أَشْرَكْتَ
    you associate (with Allah)
    لَيَحْبَطَنَّ
    surely, will become worthless
    عَمَلُكَ
    your deeds
    وَلَتَكُونَنَّ
    and you will surely be
    مِنَ
    among
    ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ
    the losers.

    And it was already revealed to you and to those before you that if you should associate (anything) with Allah, your work would surely become worthless, and you would surely be among the losers."

    39:65
