Sura 3 Ali 'Imran (Family of Imran), ayah 11

  1. كَدَأْبِ آلِ فِرْعَوْنَ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا فَأَخَذَهُمُ اللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗ وَاللَّهُ شَدِيدُ الْعِقَابِ

    Translation by words

    كَدَأْبِ
    Like behavior
    ءَالِ
    (of the) people
    فِرْعَوْنَ
    (of) Firaun
    وَٱلَّذِينَ
    and those who
    مِن
    (were) from
    قَبْلِهِمْ
    before them.
    كَذَّبُوا۟
    They denied
    بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا
    Our Signs,
    فَأَخَذَهُمُ
    so seized them
    ٱللَّهُ
    Allah
    بِذُنُوبِهِمْ
    for their sins.
    وَٱللَّهُ
    And Allah
    شَدِيدُ
    (is) severe
    ٱلْعِقَابِ
    (in) [the] punishment.

    (Theirs is) like the custom of the people of Pharaoh and those before them. They denied Our signs, so Allah seized them for their sins. And Allah is severe in penalty.
