Sura 3 Ali 'Imran (Family of Imran), ayah 122

  1. إِذْ هَمَّتْ طَائِفَتَانِ مِنْكُمْ أَنْ تَفْشَلَا وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّهُمَا ۗ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ

    Translation by words

    إِذْ
    When
    هَمَّت
    inclined
    طَّآئِفَتَانِ
    two parties
    مِنكُمْ
    among you
    أَن
    that
    تَفْشَلَا
    they lost heart,
    وَٱللَّهُ
    but Allah
    وَلِيُّهُمَا
    (was) their protector.
    وَعَلَى
    And on
    ٱللَّهِ
    Allah
    فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ
    let put (their) trust
    ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ
    the believers.

    When two parties among you were about to lose courage, but Allah was their ally; and upon Allah the believers should rely.
