Sura 3 Ali 'Imran (Family of Imran), ayah 142

  1. أَمْ حَسِبْتُمْ أَنْ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ وَلَمَّا يَعْلَمِ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ جَاهَدُوا مِنْكُمْ وَيَعْلَمَ الصَّابِرِينَ

    Translation by words

    أَمْ
    Or
    حَسِبْتُمْ
    do you think
    أَن
    that
    تَدْخُلُوا۟
    you will enter
    ٱلْجَنَّةَ
    Paradise
    وَلَمَّا
    while has not yet
    يَعْلَمِ
    made evident
    ٱللَّهُ
    Allah
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    those who
    جَٰهَدُوا۟
    strove hard
    مِنكُمْ
    among you
    وَيَعْلَمَ
    and made evident
    ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ
    the steadfast.

    Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while Allah has not yet made evident those of you who fight in His cause and made evident those who are steadfast?

    3:142
