Sura 3 Ali 'Imran (Family of Imran), ayah 164

  1. لَقَدْ مَنَّ اللَّهُ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذْ بَعَثَ فِيهِمْ رَسُولًا مِنْ أَنْفُسِهِمْ يَتْلُو عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتِهِ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحِكْمَةَ وَإِنْ كَانُوا مِنْ قَبْلُ لَفِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ

    Translation by words

    لَقَدْ
    Certainly
    مَنَّ
    bestowed a Favor
    ٱللَّهُ
    Allah
    عَلَى
    upon
    ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
    the believers
    إِذْ
    as
    بَعَثَ
    He raised
    فِيهِمْ
    among them
    رَسُولًا
    a Messenger
    مِّنْ
    from
    أَنفُسِهِمْ
    themselves
    يَتْلُوا۟
    reciting
    عَلَيْهِمْ
    to them
    ءَايَٰتِهِۦ
    His Verses
    وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ
    and purifying them,
    وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ
    and teaching them
    ٱلْكِتَٰبَ
    the Book
    وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ
    and the wisdom,
    وَإِن
    although
    كَانُوا۟
    they were
    مِن
    from
    قَبْلُ
    before (that)
    لَفِى
    certainly in
    ضَلَٰلٍ
    (the) error
    مُّبِينٍ

Certainly did Allah confer (great) favor upon the believers when He sent among them a Messenger from themselves, reciting to them His verses and purifying them and teaching them the Book and wisdom, although they had been before in manifest error.
