Sura 3 Ali 'Imran (Family of Imran), ayah 166
-
وَمَا أَصَابَكُمْ يَوْمَ الْتَقَى الْجَمْعَانِ فَبِإِذْنِ اللَّهِ وَلِيَعْلَمَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ
Translation by words
- وَمَآ
- And what
- أَصَٰبَكُمْ
- struck you
- يَوْمَ
- (on the) day
- ٱلْتَقَى
- (when) met
- ٱلْجَمْعَانِ
- the two hosts
- فَبِإِذْنِ
- (was) by (the) permission
- ٱللَّهِ
- (of) Allah
- وَلِيَعْلَمَ
- and that He (might) make evident
- ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- the believers.
And what struck you on the day the two armies met was by permission of Allah that He might make evident the (true) believers.
3:166
Translation: Saheeh International
