Sura 3 Ali 'Imran (Family of Imran), ayah 169

  1. وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتًا ۚ بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ

    Translation by words

    وَلَا
    And (do) not
    تَحْسَبَنَّ
    think
    ٱلَّذِينَ
    (of) those who
    قُتِلُوا۟
    are killed
    فِى
    in
    سَبِيلِ
    (the) way
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah
    أَمْوَٰتًۢا
    (as) dead.
    بَلْ
    Nay!
    أَحْيَآءٌ
    They are alive,
    عِندَ
    near
    رَبِّهِمْ
    their Lord;
    يُرْزَقُونَ
    they are given provision.

    And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision,
