Sura 3 Ali 'Imran (Family of Imran), ayah 199

  1. وَإِنَّ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَمَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ وَمَا أُنْزِلَ إِلَيْهِمْ خَاشِعِينَ لِلَّهِ لَا يَشْتَرُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا ۗ أُولَٰئِكَ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَرِيعُ الْحِسَابِ

    Translation by words

    وَإِنَّ
    And indeed,
    مِنْ
    among
    أَهْلِ
    (the) People
    ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
    (of) the Book
    لَمَن
    (are those) who
    يُؤْمِنُ
    believe
    بِٱللَّهِ
    in Allah
    وَمَآ
    and what
    أُنزِلَ
    was revealed
    إِلَيْكُمْ
    to you
    وَمَآ
    and what
    أُنزِلَ
    was revealed
    إِلَيْهِمْ
    to them -
    خَٰشِعِينَ
    humbly submissive
    لِلَّهِ
    to Allah.
    لَا
    Not
    يَشْتَرُونَ
    (do) they exchange
    بِـَٔايَٰتِ
    [with] (the) Verses
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah
    ثَمَنًا
    (for) a price
    قَلِيلًا
    little.
    أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ
    Those,
    لَهُمْ
    for them,
    أَجْرُهُمْ
    their reward
    عِندَ
    (is) with
    رَبِّهِمْ
    their Lord.
    إِنَّ
    Indeed,
    ٱللَّهَ
    Allah
    سَرِيعُ
    (is) swift
    ٱلْحِسَابِ
    (in taking) the account.

    And indeed, among the People of the Scripture are those who believe in Allah and what was revealed to you and what was revealed to them, (being) humbly submissive to Allah. They do not exchange the verses of Allah for a small price. Those will have their reward with their Lord. Indeed, Allah is swift in account.
