Sura 40 Ghafir (The Forgiver), ayah 18

  1. وَأَنْذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْآزِفَةِ إِذِ الْقُلُوبُ لَدَى الْحَنَاجِرِ كَاظِمِينَ ۚ مَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ مِنْ حَمِيمٍ وَلَا شَفِيعٍ يُطَاعُ

    Translation by words

    وَأَنذِرْهُمْ
    And warn them
    يَوْمَ
    (of the) Day
    ٱلْءَازِفَةِ
    the Approaching,
    إِذِ
    when
    ٱلْقُلُوبُ
    the hearts
    لَدَى
    (are) at
    ٱلْحَنَاجِرِ
    the throats,
    كَٰظِمِينَ
    choked.
    مَا
    Not
    لِلظَّٰلِمِينَ
    for the wrongdoers
    مِنْ
    any
    حَمِيمٍ
    intimate friend
    وَلَا
    and no
    شَفِيعٍ
    intercessor
    يُطَاعُ
    (who) is obeyed.

    And warn them, (O Muhammad), of the Approaching Day, when hearts are at the throats, filled (with distress). For the wrongdoers there will be no devoted friend and no intercessor (who is) obeyed.
