Sura 40 Ghafir (The Forgiver), ayah 43

  1. لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّمَا تَدْعُونَنِي إِلَيْهِ لَيْسَ لَهُ دَعْوَةٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَا فِي الْآخِرَةِ وَأَنَّ مَرَدَّنَا إِلَى اللَّهِ وَأَنَّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ هُمْ أَصْحَابُ النَّارِ

    Translation by words

    لَا
    No
    جَرَمَ
    doubt
    أَنَّمَا
    that what
    تَدْعُونَنِىٓ
    you call me
    إِلَيْهِ
    to it
    لَيْسَ
    not
    لَهُۥ
    for it
    دَعْوَةٌ
    a claim
    فِى
    in
    ٱلدُّنْيَا
    the world
    وَلَا
    and not
    فِى
    in
    ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ
    the Hereafter;
    وَأَنَّ
    and that
    مَرَدَّنَآ
    our return
    إِلَى
    (is) to
    ٱللَّهِ
    Allah,
    وَأَنَّ
    and that
    ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ
    the transgressors -
    هُمْ
    they
    أَصْحَٰبُ
    (will be the) companions
    ٱلنَّارِ
    (of) the Fire.

    Assuredly, that to which you invite me has no (response to a) supplication in this world or in the Hereafter; and indeed, our return is to Allah, and indeed, the transgressors will be companions of the Fire.
