Sura 40 Ghafir (The Forgiver), ayah 61

  1. اللَّهُ الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ اللَّيْلَ لِتَسْكُنُوا فِيهِ وَالنَّهَارَ مُبْصِرًا ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَذُو فَضْلٍ عَلَى النَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَشْكُرُونَ

    Translation by words

    ٱللَّهُ
    Allah
    ٱلَّذِى
    (is) the One Who
    جَعَلَ
    made
    لَكُمُ
    for you
    ٱلَّيْلَ
    the night
    لِتَسْكُنُوا۟
    that you may rest
    فِيهِ
    in it,
    وَٱلنَّهَارَ
    and the day
    مُبْصِرًا
    giving visibility.
    إِنَّ
    Indeed,
    ٱللَّهَ
    Allah
    لَذُو
    (is) Full (of) Bounty
    فَضْلٍ
    (is) Full (of) Bounty
    عَلَى
    to
    ٱلنَّاسِ
    the people,
    وَلَٰكِنَّ
    but
    أَكْثَرَ
    most
    ٱلنَّاسِ
    (of) the people
    لَا
    (do) not
    يَشْكُرُونَ
    give thanks.

    It is Allah who made for you the night that you may rest therein and the day giving sight. Indeed, Allah is full of bounty to the people, but most of the people are not grateful.

    40:61
