Sura 40 Ghafir (The Forgiver), ayah 75
-
ذَٰلِكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَفْرَحُونَ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَمْرَحُونَ
Translation by words
- ذَٰلِكُم
- "That was
- بِمَا
- because
- كُنتُمْ
- you used to
- تَفْرَحُونَ
- rejoice
- فِى
- in
- ٱلْأَرْضِ
- the earth
- بِغَيْرِ
- without
- ٱلْحَقِّ
- right
- وَبِمَا
- and because
- كُنتُمْ
- you used to
- تَمْرَحُونَ
- be insolent.
(The angels will say), "That was because you used to exult upon the earth without right and you used to behave insolently.
40:75
