Sura 41 Fussilat (Explained In Detail), ayah 34

  1. وَلَا تَسْتَوِي الْحَسَنَةُ وَلَا السَّيِّئَةُ ۚ ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ فَإِذَا الَّذِي بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ عَدَاوَةٌ كَأَنَّهُ وَلِيٌّ حَمِيمٌ

    Translation by words

    وَلَا
    And not
    تَسْتَوِى
    (are) equal
    ٱلْحَسَنَةُ
    the good (deed)
    وَلَا
    and
    ٱلسَّيِّئَةُ
    the evil (deed).
    ٱدْفَعْ
    Repel
    بِٱلَّتِى
    by (that) which
    هِىَ
    [it]
    أَحْسَنُ
    (is) better;
    فَإِذَا
    then behold!
    ٱلَّذِى
    One who,
    بَيْنَكَ
    between you
    وَبَيْنَهُۥ
    and between him,
    عَدَٰوَةٌ
    (was) enmity,
    كَأَنَّهُۥ
    (will become) as if he
    وَلِىٌّ
    (was) a friend
    حَمِيمٌ
    intimate.

    And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel (evil) by that (deed) which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity (will become) as though he was a devoted friend.
