Sura 41 Fussilat (Explained In Detail), ayah 5
-
وَقَالُوا قُلُوبُنَا فِي أَكِنَّةٍ مِمَّا تَدْعُونَا إِلَيْهِ وَفِي آذَانِنَا وَقْرٌ وَمِنْ بَيْنِنَا وَبَيْنِكَ حِجَابٌ فَاعْمَلْ إِنَّنَا عَامِلُونَ
Translation by words
- وَقَالُوا۟
- And they say,
- قُلُوبُنَا
- "Our hearts
- فِىٓ
- (are) in
- أَكِنَّةٍ
- coverings
- مِّمَّا
- from what
- تَدْعُونَآ
- you call us
- إِلَيْهِ
- to it,
- وَفِىٓ
- and in
- ءَاذَانِنَا
- our ears
- وَقْرٌ
- (is) deafness,
- وَمِنۢ
- and between us
- بَيْنِنَا
- and between us
- وَبَيْنِكَ
- and between you
- حِجَابٌ
- (is) a screen.
- فَٱعْمَلْ
- So work,
- إِنَّنَا
- indeed, we
- عَٰمِلُونَ
- (are) working."
And they say, "Our hearts are within coverings from that to which you invite us, and in our ears is deafness, and between us and you is a partition, so work; indeed, we are working."
