Sura 42 Ash-Shura (The Consultation), ayah 18
-
يَسْتَعْجِلُ بِهَا الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهَا ۖ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مُشْفِقُونَ مِنْهَا وَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهَا الْحَقُّ ۗ أَلَا إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُمَارُونَ فِي السَّاعَةِ لَفِي ضَلَالٍ بَعِيدٍ
Translation by words
- يَسْتَعْجِلُ
- Seek to hasten
- بِهَا
- [of] it
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- لَا
- (do) not
- يُؤْمِنُونَ
- believe
- بِهَا
- in it,
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- and those who
- ءَامَنُوا۟
- believe
- مُشْفِقُونَ
- (are) fearful
- مِنْهَا
- of it
- وَيَعْلَمُونَ
- and know
- أَنَّهَا
- that it
- ٱلْحَقُّ
- (is) the truth.
- أَلَآ
- Unquestionably,
- إِنَّ
- indeed,
- ٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- يُمَارُونَ
- dispute
- فِى
- concerning
- ٱلسَّاعَةِ
- the Hour
- لَفِى
- (are) certainly in
- ضَلَٰلٍۭ
- error
- بَعِيدٍ
- far.
Those who do not believe in it are impatient for it, but those who believe are fearful of it and know that it is the truth. Unquestionably, those who dispute concerning the Hour are in extreme error.
