Sura 43 Az-Zukhruf (The Ornaments of gold), ayah 54

فَاسْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهُ فَأَطَاعُوهُ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ
Translation by words
- فَٱسْتَخَفَّ
- So he bluffed
- قَوْمَهُۥ
- his people,
- فَأَطَاعُوهُ
- and they obeyed him.
- إِنَّهُمْ
- Indeed, they
- كَانُوا۟
- were
- قَوْمًا
- a people
- فَٰسِقِينَ
- defiantly disobedient.
So he bluffed his people, and they obeyed him. Indeed, they were (themselves) a people defiantly disobedient (of Allah).
