Sura 44 Ad-Dukhan (The Smoke), ayah 37
-
أَهُمْ خَيْرٌ أَمْ قَوْمُ تُبَّعٍ وَالَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ أَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا مُجْرِمِينَ
Translation by words

- (the) people
- تُبَّعٍ
- (of) Tubba
- وَٱلَّذِينَ
- and those
- مِن
- before them?
- قَبْلِهِمْ
- before them?
- أَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْ
- We destroyed them,
- إِنَّهُمْ
- indeed, they
- كَانُوا۟
- were
- مُجْرِمِينَ
- criminals.
Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those before them? We destroyed them, (for) indeed, they were criminals.
