Sura 45 Al-Jathiyah (The Crouching), ayah 35

  1. ذَٰلِكُمْ بِأَنَّكُمُ اتَّخَذْتُمْ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ هُزُوًا وَغَرَّتْكُمُ الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا ۚ فَالْيَوْمَ لَا يُخْرَجُونَ مِنْهَا وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ

    Translation by words

    ذَٰلِكُم
    That
    بِأَنَّكُمُ
    (is) because you
    ٱتَّخَذْتُمْ
    took
    ءَايَٰتِ
    (the) Verses
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah
    هُزُوًا
    (in) ridicule
    وَغَرَّتْكُمُ
    and deceived you
    ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ
    the life
    ٱلدُّنْيَا
    (of) the world."
    فَٱلْيَوْمَ
    So this Day
    لَا
    not
    يُخْرَجُونَ
    they will be brought forth
    مِنْهَا
    from it
    وَلَا
    and not
    هُمْ
    they
    يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ
    will be asked to appease.

    That is because you took the verses of Allah in ridicule, and worldly life deluded you." So that Day they will not be removed from it, nor will they be asked to appease (Allah).
