Sura 45 Al-Jathiyah (The Crouching), ayah 5

  1. وَاخْتِلَافِ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مِنْ رِزْقٍ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَتَصْرِيفِ الرِّيَاحِ آيَاتٌ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ

    Translation by words

    وَٱخْتِلَٰفِ
    And (in the) alternation
    ٱلَّيْلِ
    (of) the night
    وَٱلنَّهَارِ
    and the day
    وَمَآ
    and what
    أَنزَلَ
    Allah sends down
    ٱللَّهُ
    Allah sends down
    مِنَ
    from
    ٱلسَّمَآءِ
    the sky
    مِن
    of
    رِّزْقٍ
    (the) provision
    فَأَحْيَا
    and gives life
    بِهِ
    thereby
    ٱلْأَرْضَ
    (to) the earth
    بَعْدَ
    after
    مَوْتِهَا
    its death,
    وَتَصْرِيفِ
    and (in) directing
    ٱلرِّيَٰحِ
    (the) winds
    ءَايَٰتٌ
    (are) Signs
    لِّقَوْمٍ
    for a people
    يَعْقِلُونَ
    who reason.

    And (in) the alternation of night and day and (in) what Allah sends down from the sky of provision and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and (in His) directing of the winds are signs for a people who reason.
