Sura 67 Al-Mulk (The Sovereignty), ayah 10

  1. وَقَالُوا لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِي أَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ

    Translation by words

    وَقَالُوا۟
    And they will say,
    لَوْ
    "If
    كُنَّا
    we had
    نَسْمَعُ
    listened
    أَوْ
    or
    نَعْقِلُ
    reasoned,
    مَا
    not
    كُنَّا
    we (would) have been
    فِىٓ
    among
    أَصْحَٰبِ
    (the) companions
    ٱلسَّعِيرِ
    (of) the Blaze."

    And they will say, "If only we had been listening or reasoning, we would not be among the companions of the Blaze."

    67:10
