Sura 69 Al-Haqqа (The Inevitable), ayah 25

1. وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِشِمَالِهِ فَيَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَابِيَهْ

   Translation by words

   وَأَمَّا

   But as for

   مَنْ

   (him) who

   أُوتِىَ

   is given

   كِتَٰبَهُۥ

   his record

   بِشِمَالِهِۦ

   in his left hand

   فَيَقُولُ

   will say,

   يَٰلَيْتَنِى

   "O! I wish

   لَمْ

   not

   أُوتَ

   I had been given

   كِتَٰبِيَهْ

   my record

   But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record

   69:25
