Sura 6 Al-An'am (The Cattle), ayah 10
-
وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِئَ بِرُسُلٍ مِنْ قَبْلِكَ فَحَاقَ بِالَّذِينَ سَخِرُوا مِنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِئُونَ
Translation by words
- وَلَقَدِ
- And indeed
- ٱسْتُهْزِئَ
- were mocked
- بِرُسُلٍ
- Messengers
- مِّن
- from
- قَبْلِكَ
- before you
- فَحَاقَ
- but surrounded
- بِٱلَّذِينَ
- those who
- سَخِرُوا۟
- scoffed
- مِنْهُم
- of them
- مَّا
- what
- كَانُوا۟
- they used to
- بِهِۦ
- [at it]
- يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ
- mock.
And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule.
