Sura 6 Al-An'am (The Cattle), ayah 111
-
وَلَوْ أَنَّنَا نَزَّلْنَا إِلَيْهِمُ الْمَلَائِكَةَ وَكَلَّمَهُمُ الْمَوْتَىٰ وَحَشَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ قُبُلًا مَا كَانُوا لِيُؤْمِنُوا إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَجْهَلُونَ
Translation by words
- وَلَوْ
- And (even) if
- أَنَّنَا
- [that] We (had)
- نَزَّلْنَآ
- [We] sent down
- إِلَيْهِمُ
- to them
- ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ
- the Angels
- وَكَلَّمَهُمُ
- and spoken to them
- ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ
- the dead
- وَحَشَرْنَا
- and We gathered
- عَلَيْهِمْ
- before them
- كُلَّ
- every
- شَىْءٍ
- thing
- قُبُلًا
- face to face,
- مَّا
- not
- كَانُوا۟
- they were
- لِيُؤْمِنُوٓا۟
- to believe
- إِلَّآ
- unless
- أَن
- [that]
- يَشَآءَ
- wills
- ٱللَّهُ
- Allah.
- وَلَٰكِنَّ
- But
- أَكْثَرَهُمْ
- most of them
- يَجْهَلُونَ
- (are) ignorant.
And even if We had sent down to them the angels (with the message) and the dead spoke to them (of it) and We gathered together every (created) thing in front of them, they would not believe unless Allah should will. But most of them, (of that), are ignorant.
6:111
Translation: Saheeh International
