Sura 6 Al-An'am (The Cattle), ayah 116

  1. وَإِنْ تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنْ يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ

    Translation by words

    وَإِن
    And if
    تُطِعْ
    you obey
    أَكْثَرَ
    most
    مَن
    of
    فِى
    (those) in
    ٱلْأَرْضِ
    the earth
    يُضِلُّوكَ
    they will mislead you
    عَن
    from
    سَبِيلِ
    (the) way
    ٱللَّهِ
    (of) Allah.
    إِن
    Not
    يَتَّبِعُونَ
    they follow
    إِلَّا
    except
    ٱلظَّنَّ
    [the] assumption,
    وَإِنْ
    and not
    هُمْ
    they (do)
    إِلَّا
    except
    يَخْرُصُونَ
    guess.

    And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah. They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying.
